Beta recently released a new design for an oil filter wrench, that is a huge improvement over traditional “strap wrenches”. Basically they eliminated the need to have the wrench rotate only in one direction, and instead it physically clamps down onto an oil filter and will allow you to loosen or tighten it very easily.

I first read about these online last month, and have been very impressed with the wrench in general. Not only does it work exactly as advertised, but it also does not damage the filter at all….even though it is clamping down on it with an extreme amount of force.
