Early morning strike while fishing for aweoweo off the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. I first thought it was a papio because it hit hard, then i realized what it was. Used my new HMG Fenwick 6’6″ Fishing Rod with a lightweight Shimano Stradic CI4 reel with 6lb Trilene 6lb low viz green “soft cast” line using a customized Landon Yamamoto poured soft jig on 6lb Sakura fluorocarbon leader. Didn’t even see what type of fish it was until the end. Video was made using a Contour Roam 2 with a Contour side mount headband. Was with my friend/mentor Wayne Akagi field testing my new Contour Roam, new Fenwick Rod & Shimano Stradic CI4, and custom 2in soft jigs from Landon Yamamoto. Sorry for the darkness.
