Removal of control arm pinch bolt vw audi by Edge Motors with special tool
The “pinch bolt on VW and Audi control arms could give you allot of head each, there is vag tool specially designed to remove that one bolt. it is pretty expensive (anywhere from 450$ to $700) but it is available. we paid 490$ for ours, but we do allot of these car so it pad off very fast.
we got it from a vw dealer special tool web site, (do not have the part number as the original box and docs are gone.)
you could try googling it, that’s how we found it.
other than that, if you do not have the tool the best bet is to heat aup the steering knuckle, but it will weaken the metal…
