Mr. Saving the Day fixes the Ignition and Door Lock on his 2004 Toyota Tacoma Deluxe Cab, V6, 4W
Hey guys,
If you really need to drive your truck (emergency) and the ignition lock is giving you trouble, if you can get it to the acc position, you can pull the lock. If you look inside the lock holder there is a metal tab. If you turn that metal tab to the right, with a long pair of pliers, you can start the truck. Turn it off by turning it the opposite way. Order your replacement lock and install it ASAP. My son thought that was cool and wanted me to leave it that way (lockless, starting with pliers)….I said,”No Way” , Mr.SavintheDay-Out
