The goal of this mini forklift is to drive through a standard size front door unassisted. Lift capacity is around 500 lbs. Turning is accomplished via skid steer.
In the video I demonstrate lift height and tilt angle extremes. I also manuver the couch around a bit. Sorry there is no commentary. I was getting over a cold, didn’t have much of a voice. The forks are exactly as long as the couch. I didn’t want to risk dropping it so I temporarily used some vice grips to extend the forks.
I rebuild engines in my spare time. The purpose of building this lift was to transport the motors in and out of my my house. Rebuilding engines outside when it is 115f is a real drag. I can now bring them into our airconditioned home for rebuilding.
Easily rearranging furniture for my wife is another plus!
