The oil drain plug on my 2008 KTM 450 EXC-R was on real tight and the bolt head rounded while trying to remove it. To get it off I used a Irwin Bolt-Grip Bolt Extractor which has reverse spiral flutes that bite down on the bolt head gripping it so the bolt can be turned. Put the 13mm socket on the bolt and tapped it on with a small hammer and used a small breaker bar with a 3/8-inch square drive. I ran the engine for 10 minutes heating up the engine oil, laid the bike on its side, and with firm pressure pressed down and the bolt just busted loose and screwed off easily. Some of the other options found on the net included a blow torch, vice grips, Freon, drills, and/or hiring a real mechanic. This was a relatively inexpensive option that was quick, worked well, and I got a new tool out of it.
