Removing a Toyota Corolla cartridge oil filter housing

Update as of November 2014:
Looks like this wrench is up to 12 bucks now.
Make no mistake… this is a cheap tool and an inelegant fix.
If it were my Maserati(LOL) and not my Corolla I would not do it this way. Just so you know, if you post a potty-mouth negative comment I will immediately delete so don’t bother. That said, constructive criticism or better ideas welcome.

Toyoda has taken a step back in technology and is using the old “Cartridge” type oil filter with a plastic housing. The housing has 14 point 65 mm flutes. The Dealer wants an outrageous price for their endcap wrench but your neighborhood auto parts store has one (25404) for around 5 buck. Problem is, its a combination 65/67mm wrench and the 67mm part disallows the 65mm part to fully engage, so it slips. Here I show you how to fix that with little more than a hack saw and some J-B weld.
