An Easy fix for Security Cameras that cut-out or have a poor picture at times. This pertains to All Security Systems that use BNC connectors.
Update: You may also have to tighten the connectors on the back of the DVR, as well. Read on..

Another fix that I have run across is for the power connection. Using Stanley crimping pliers (the one with the prong to crimp a butt connector) take the male end of the power cable (the one that plugs into the camera) about 1/3 of the way from the outer end and put a SMALL (small) dimple on the metal jacket of the connector. This will tighten the inner barrel for the center pin and also make the outer jacket oval for a better connection as well.
