Instructions
1. Remove the old broken prop with wire nippers or cable cutters. The plastic prop needs to be split to come off the motor shaft.
2. Hold the opposing end of the motor shaft on the top of a 1/2″ metal rod.
3. Using a rubber mallet or small hammer, carefully tap the prop onto the motor shaft until it meets the aluminum stop pin.
4. Using a hex key or vice grip pliers, carefully tighten the set screws until they meet the motor axel with light pressure.
* It is very important that the opposing end of the motor shaft is backed while tapping the prop on. If it is not backed during installation, the motor’s bushings can be damaged. For the 1/2″ metal rod you can use a ½ drill bit. Drill into a block of wood, stop the drill and remove the drill chuck. Now you have a metal rod held vertically that will work for this installation.
* Do not over tighten the set screws.
