This video showcases LatchTool’s PowerPliers prototype by comparing them to a pair of classic mechanical/locking pliers (a.k.a.: ViceGrips). The PowerPliers contain a 2-stage PowerCylinder actuator, which is a self-contained hydraulic actuator that converts the human gripping force into an extremely high (~1200 lb) output at the jaws.
