Hi, my Name is Todd and I’m with Platinum tools.
Today we’re going to show you a new cable cutter. It’s called the CC – S6. It is designed cut, cleanly, steel cables; copper clad steel to be specific.
A lot of the cables produced today are with steel center conductors and they copper coat it with a copper so it can work with your connectors and things.
One of the problems with this cable is that your traditional cutters you will knick the blades over a course of time and this is designed to cut cleanly steel cables and steel center conductor cables.
As we go through it, it will cut through it cleanly and you will notice the design of the cutter blades. When it cuts through the cable it will keep the center conductor round.
That’s a key feature because most of your cutters will flatten out the center pin.
When you try to insert this into a connector you will not have any interference of a flat ended cable and center conductor.
