The cores that come with the Do-it Molds No-Roll sinker molds are a pain in the butt to deal with. You have to use a pair of pliers and twist them to get them out and they eventually end up twisting off and breaking. Or getting bent which makes them even more difficult to remove from the finished sinkers. I have started using 10 gauge copper wire cut into 4-5 inch lengths with a short “L” bend on one end. After pouring the sinkers I will clamp the wire into a vise and pry up on the mold handles to remove the wire. This copper wire is easier to bend back straight than the cores supplied from Do-it molds they are also more flexible so since then bend easier they don’t break as often. You can produce weights much faster and them amount of copper wire necessary for making several copper wire cores is cheap too.I can produce weight now about ten time as fast than I could when using the Do-it cores.
