Simple DC Pulse Motor. 200 turns of 26 gauge magnet wire wound around a 1 1/4″ PVC Pipe. (Pipe cut as shown). 1/8″ rod for a shaft with four Neo Magnets. 1/8″ keystock as spacers on the shaft. (Can use short Pcs Of 1/8″ rod) Metal insert from a 1/8th knob on one end to hold the shaft in place and a metal insert from 1/4″ knob on other end to provide contact.
This motor works by one side of the coil attracting the magnet while the other side repels the magnet. One side of the rotor is south and the other side is north.
Its very easy to remove the metal inserts from the knobs. Hard plastic knobs you can you can crack the plastic case with pliers (Vice grips work Best). For soft plastic knobs, you can simply peel the plastic off with a wire cutter and pliers. A small drill with a cutting wheel works good too.
