While OneCNC does have a steep wall strategy, I found it easier to just use a planar finish 90 degrees from teh previous toolpath, or more or less tangental to the grip bottom.

Machine made with TUFNOL (phenolic), Misumi 3060 extrusions milled flat, and aluminum plate. Linear rails are THK SHS15s. Leadscrews are McMaster 1/2″-8, 2-start (4TPI). Anti-backlash nuts from DumpsterCNC. Couplers are Ruland. Stepper motors are Danaher (Kollmorgen) CTP series, 200in-oz. Drive is GexkoDrive G540, powered by 48V PSU, assembled by DeepGroove1. Controller and USB interface is EdingCNC’s USBCNC4A. Router is DeWalt 1-1/4HP, controlled by SuperPID. Computer is Dell Precision M6300. Table extrusions from Techno-Isel.
