As the rustlers moved their herd across the open plains they would make camp at dusk so none of their animals would catch a leg in a prairie dog hole. This made for a lot of extra time in the evenings, during which some men would carve by the fireside while others perhaps played instruments and sang. After witnessing a pair of pliers produced by such man, I knew I had to make some for myself. Although he used a pounded flat and sharpened barb from the fence-line, I took the easy route with an exacto blade. Now I must make my fanciest whimsey- a match-head swiveling on a chain with a pair of pliers swiveling on the opposing end! Stay tuned.
