lock nut removal with impact wrench

The key was lost for these locking wheel nuts for a Honda and they had to come off, so I was able to snug fit a 20mm over this 19mm locknut and then use the ryobi impact wrench to pull it off. It is not hard to do but you need to be prepared to hammer the lock nut out of the socket after. The socket spins on the locknut until it bottoms out on the little edge, then the hammering of the impact helps to loosen the nut but it doesn’t seem to work unless it is touching the lip

I was thinking to buy the locknut removal specialty sockets like the threaded ones or the ones with the edges inside but I thought I would try this first and it worked great!

I am not sure if these are Genuine Honda locking wheel nuts or made by someone like mcgard
