Lock-In Jump Rings by BeadSmith

Lock-In Jumprings are an innovative twist on traditional jump rings in that they actually lock closed and will not open over time, as traditional Jump rings tend to do based on wear and stress. Here is how they work:

The Lock-In Jumprings comes to you in the open position. This allows you to slide on, your link, pendant, charm or chain. If the opening is not large enough you can take a pair of Chain nose pliers and adjust the ring to accommodate for the larger item. To open the Jumpring, hold the ring firmly with your thumb and index finger. With the chain nose in your other hand, take the opposite end of the ring and twist forward. (When opening a Jump ring you never want to pull the two ends apart as this can damage the integrity and will often leave you with a miss-shapen ring). Slide your product onto the ring and now twist the chain nose back towards yourself until the two sides are aligned properly. Now take your pliers and squeeze the ring gently until the pin and hole are aligned. With the pin and hole in place, Crimp the ring closed. Your Lock-In jumpring is now Locked in and will not open! It’s that easy! Lock-In Jumprings give you all the strength of soldered rings but the functionality of open rings./nLocks in Jumprings are available in Sterling Silver, Silver Plate and Anti tarnish Brass in many styles and many sizes.
