bought these off ebay uk august 2013 for £19.95, I obviously don’t expect “snap on” quality for this price, but after reviewing these grips I was disappointed to see the poor tolerances in the build of the small pair of grips, and yes, I do realise in this form of tool you can expect “some” play but in my opinion the play is excessive. had I known that these tools were “made in china” which I only discovered once the item had been delivered to me, I would not have bought these tools. I also noticed on the back of the packet that the tools I received were made in 2009! so maybe the quality control has been improved since then? as i was not happy with these items i decided to contact newellco.com (who are based in the uk) and who handle irwin tools in the uk (i think) and they asked me to send them to them so they could be examined,which i did, and they confirmed that they are indeed “genuine irwin tools” and not fake or counterfeit and they are going to send me my original items back + some other grips free of charge for me to compare with my originals, will keep you updated on the outcome…………………………..
