All you will need to improve your water pressure is a pair of needle nose pliers and about 4 minutes of time. Your showerhead might connect at the wall where you need to take the regulator out. If so just check there as well.
You should see what your states regulations are on removing the water saver or regulator from your showerhead. I personally prefer to keep mine in since I have more hot water that way by stretching it out. However, if better water pressure is more important to you than this could be a great solution.
