Hey everybody! In this video, I recover R22 from a few water source heat pumps. These units have no service ports and therfore are called sealed unit. To recover the gas you need to install a piercing valve. In this case, I use my recovery pliers (essentially Vise-grips with a piercing valve on the end) to recover the gas. After this, I just disassemble them and scrap the metal. If I were going to use them again, I would braze in a service port on the high and low side. Enjoy, Rate, Comment!
