This short video will show you an easy way to replace the wand tilt mechanism on your Horizontal blind.
The tools you’ll need for this repair are scissors, a tape measure and pliers.
Remove the blind removed and place on a flat work surface
Remove the wand from the blind and set aside.
Measure the height and width of the end of the headrail.
With the pliers, remove the rail stiffeners that are pressed into both ends of the headrail.
Slide the metal tilt rod shaft enough to disengage the tilt mechanism.
Slightly spread the headrail and remove the tilter.
With the tilter removed, you can now identify the size and shape of the tilt rod hole.
Use these 2 parameters to determine which tilter is a proper fit for your blind.
To order a tilter, meow, go to ’tilt mechanisms’ on our website. Click on ‘horizontal blind tilter guide’. Find the correct headrail measurement, then, click to view. Find the correct rod size and shape, then, click to view. Order your tilter.
Install the new wand tilter by seating the tilter, then sliding the tilt rod through.
Replace the end stiffeners.
Attach the tassels, and rehang the blind.
Test your repair.
