This is on a dirt bike, but this technique will fix nearly any motor!
Make sure you use this tool if you want to repair your spark plug hole threads the right way. Other methods may work, however, they will get metal in the motor causing even more damage.
There is really no way to know if any metal has gotten in the motor until it is too late. This method makes it impossible for any metal to even fall down into the motor’s cylinder.
The typical spark plug thread chasers available at your local auto parts stores are not like this tool. You will more than likely have to order this tool online.
Do not use a tap! It will remove TOO MUCH metal. Most of the time there is no need to cut new threads just repair the existing ones. If you use a tap it will defiantly get metal in your motor and your spark plug might be too loose to properly torque down.
