How to Remove Hard Drive Magnets From Their Bracket Very Easily!

Here I show how to remove neodymium magnets from their mounting hardware in hard disk drives. So if you have ever tried to remove one you will know that the 2 magnets are epoxied onto a steel plate, and if you try to pull them off with pliers, chisel it off, or pry it off you will just break the magnet. The best way to remove the neodymium magnets is to hole the steel plate with some vice grips, then hit the bottom of the steel plate against a hard surface. The sheer force made between the magnet and the steel will break the epoxy’s grip since epoxy is very weak in that dimension
