This video has shown changing of valve of gas cylinder to prevent the gas leakage at your home. There are two ways to check the gas leakage.
1. put water in the nozzle, if leakage is there you will see gas leakage in the form of gas bubble.
2. when you will apply regulator, you will hear hissing sound from the cylinder.
