How to Make Portable Watering System – if you have a tractor with a front-end loader!

Getting water to remote garden spots can be easier if you have a barrel and a tractor with a front-end loader. Thanks to a helpful tip found at https://www.christinehennessey.blogspot.com/2012/04/how-to-make-rain-barrel.html, which Google found for me while I was standing in the plumbing section at Lowe’s, I was able to quickly and easily attach a spigot to a barrel, put it on the tractor, fill it with water, and bring the water to the garden. The 55 gallons or so didn’t go as far as we’d hoped, but still, it made the job so much easier. In the video, we attached a garden hose, but we’ve now decided to try simply applying water straight from the spigot (at a slower rate) to the garden, driving slowly along the rows to distribute the water. We’ll keep you posted.
