How to Install a Universal Wall Mount Jack
Materials Required:
TM630AC-4M: Universal Wall Mount Jack 4 Conductor (Stainless Steel)
TM630SPIV: Universal Wall Mount Jack Spacer (Ivory)
MST-501B: Cable Prep Tool
MST-502: Cable Prep Tool
Needle Nose Pliers
Wire Stripper
Screwdriver (Robertson Yellow)
FT4-2PQWH: 2 Pair CAT 3 UTP Solid Cable (White)
Step 1:
Cut the specified length of 2 Pair CAT 3 UTP Solid Cable (FT4-2PQWH) and insert into the Cable Prep Tool (MST-501B). Rotate in one direction 1-2 turns to score the Cable Jacket.
Step 2:
Remove the Cable Jacket exposing the 4 insulated conductors and a nylon thread pull string. Use the Needle Nose Pliers and pull string to expose the required length of wire. Remove the Cable Jacket and Pull String using the Cable Prep Tool (MST-502)
Step 3:
Remove the tips of the insulated conductors to the required length using the Wire Stripper. Then use the Needle Nose Pliers to bend the tips of the exposed conductors.
Step 4:
Feed the UTP Cable through any of the available openings of the Universal Wall Mount Jack (TM630AC-4M). Then follow the corresponding colour codes and secure the UTP Cable to the screw terminals of the Universal Wall Mount Jack using a Robertson or Flat head screwdriver.
Step 5:
Insert the Universal Wall Jack to the Universal Wall Mount Jack Spacer (TM630SPIV). This will allow for flush mounting and prevent any possible short circuits.
Step 6:
Use the provided hardware to install the Universal Mount Jack onto the required surface. Then secure the cover plate to complete the installation.
