I decided to test this product whipping from sand & rock shorelines off North Oahu, Hawaii using different baits & grubs. Used a 6’6″ Fenwick rod with a Shimano 3000 CI4 reel with 6lb Trilene “Smooth Cast” green line. Video was done by a Contour Roam#2 on a headband. The purpose of LineDancer is to keep the line close to the rod itself. I first noticed the shaking vibration that the lure produces running up the line to the rod. Then i watched as the soft plastic grub was “wiggling” as compared to it’s normal straight run. This was repeated with baits & surface plugs with the same results. I tested this product on a windy day during the lunar low tide during the middle am-pm. Pretty much the worst time to go fishing. I was impressed with the action this simple product produced. Note in the video i placed the LineDancer between the handle & first guide. I’m right handed so for a lefty just reverse the placement of the opening to the other side. Cast/whip like always. Simply place the line in the LineDancer during retrieval. Remember to “flick” the line off LineDancer when whipping/casting again. I’ve yet to try this unit at night but i feel it’ll work as well as it did during the daytime. After a few solid hook-ups i was convinced that this product works well in Hawaiian waters.
