I get hundreds of questions a month about why a vehicles caliper piston will not retract when being compressed by a C-Clamp. The subscriber in question will always state “the front was fine but the back wont budge”
Here’s why!
Watch the video and see for yourself why it is crucial to have extra tools laying around. I do OWN the correct tool for this job, but wanted to show the every day DIYer how he/she can perform this job at home without the use of said “correct” tools.
If you want to do the job right (and not booger up the caliper piston) then go rent the tool from autozone, kragen ,etc.
