Shopping List for How to Build a Tiered Serving Tray:
- 1/2×12 oak board. Get a 3-foot length for the trays.
- 6-inch turned table legs. Get three for the center posts.
- 1/4-by-3/4-inch shelf-edge trim molding. Get a 10-foot length for the edge trim.
- 1×2 oak board. Get a 1-foot length to make the feet.
- 5/16-inch dowel screws. Get two to connect the center posts.
- 5/16 nut and washer. Get one of each to secure the bottom post.
- Wood glue
- Superglue
- Jar
- Medium steel wool
- White vinegar”
- White wax

- Miter saw
- Clamps
- Drill/driver
- 5/16-inch bit
- 1/8-inch pilot-drill bit
- Locking pliers
- Adjustable wrench
- Rags

Cut list to build a tray 11 1/2 inches wide by 11 1/2 inches deep by 20 inches tall, follow this cutlist:
[FRACTION 12]x12 oak for the top tray: one @ 8 inches, ripped and cut to an 8-inch square[BR][BR]
[FRACTION 12]x12 oak for the middle tray: one @ 10 inches, ripped and cut to 10 inches wide[BR][BR]
[FRACTION 12]x12 oak for the base tray: one @ 11 [FRACTION 12] inches, cut to 11 [FRACTION 12] inches long[BR][BR]
1×2 oak for the feet: four @ 1 [FRACTION 12] inches[BR][BR]
[FRACTION 14]-by-[FRACTION 34]-inch shelf-edge trim: Mitered to fit[BR][BR]
