In this video i’m going to show how i restored an old beat up hammer to a new and custom made one with a personal touch.
Unfortunately the Heat treating of this hammer is not covered by this video as the camera died. The way it was done was by heating the hammer head to a soft red glow and then cooling it quickly in a bucket of water. After that i used a stove to temper the steel in order to not make it break if there were a miss hit on a hardened steel surface.
