The tools you will need are pair of needle-nose pliers, a one sixteenth inch punch and an eighth inch punch, in addition to a small screwdriver or, as I’m using, a solder cleaning tool.
First make sure that the magazine is removed and there is not a round in the chamber. Next we will remove the three pins. Two above the trigger guard and one at the top back of the hand grip. Always push or remove pins from a firearm from left, out the right side. When you reinsert pins in a firearm, reinsert from right to left. The reason this is done is as to not enlarge the hole on the left side of the firearm. This is the accepted procedure gunsmith came up with long ago. The block pin will be the first one we will remove.
Usually the pins in a Glock can be removed by holding the receiver in your hand and pushing the pin out with a punch making Glock lower receiver disassembly easy. Remember to push them out the right side of the receiver. Next we will remove the PIN at the top of the hand grip, then remove the larger pin right above the trigger.
