Disassembling RWS Excalibre PCP Air Rifle

Trouble with the valve and orings in your PCP air rifle will come up sooner or later. Taking apart the RWS Excalibre is not difficult.
1. MAKE SURE THE RIFLE IS EMPTY OF AIR.
2. Have all the tools you will need at hand. A set of hex wrenches, an impact screwdriver, mallet, pointed pliers, screwdrivers, replacement orings, new valve stem, and silicone grease.
3. Remember how the parts were in place. They can only go back together one way, but even so.
Additional things to consider: Put a thin coat of divers silicone grease all over the inside of the air tube to prevent corrosion. The tube is made of aluminum but can still corrode. Consult a diagram of the location of the orings to be changed. There is a hidden oring in the valve body that should not be overlooked (valve seat ). If the valve does not move out freely, turn the venturi screw (air flow adjustment) in all the way, this is the hex screw going in at a weird angle on the right side of the tube. An impact screwdriver will be needed to loosen the plug screws as they may be loctited on.
