Cutting Ceramic Tile with a Dremel 300 Series, Multi-Vise #2500-01, EZ Lock Mandrel #EZ402 and EZ Lock Cutting Wheel #EZ545

For home remodeling projects oftentimes tile needs to be cut so it’ll fit in place. To demonstrate making smaller cuts in tile. We’ll be using a Dremel 300 series tool, the Multi-Vise and EZ Lock EZ545 cutting wheel and an EZ Lock Mandrel #402. A Dremel 400 series XPR and 200 series and 10.8 Volt Lithium Ion tool can also be used for this project.

Secure your tile in the Multi-Vise and mark your desired cut and set your tool to a maximum speed of 20,000 RPMs. Using two hands to grip and guide the tool begin working to or in the line of the cut keeping in mind that for thicker tile more passes may be required continue cutting as needed. Tile that are rated one or two for floors or walls should be cut with the EZ Lock EZ545. Most wall tiles have a rating of three and can be cut with a #562 ceramic wall tile bit.
