Hemorrhage is the leading cause of preventable death on the battlefield. Approximately 25% of potentially survivable military deaths are due to uncontrolled junctional hemorrhage(1) − the majority of which occur in the pelvic region. When an extremity wound is not amenable to a tourniquet, and cannot be controlled by traditional means, the CRoC is the CoTCCC-recommended device.
