Thanks to Gabor Zambori for this idea. Since using it does add an extra step to the action, I still strongly recommend using the right size blade (or combination of two blades) to cut the 1/8″ joint in one pass. Best results come with the use of a dado set that has the shims to set the cut to the perfect width.
