Wizard had to get his band taking off by an avian vet. His leg was swollen and the band was tight. I tried to take it off myself, but his leg started to bleed. The band would not even spin. He got it removed and I had to use and ointment for it, he is all better now.
Make sure to check your birds band regularly.
