This video is specifically covering the assembly of the AISIN Sekei 4×4 manual locking hub clutch assembly. Often times people take the hub apart to clean it, but then find when they put it back together it locks the first time they turn the dial to the “Lock” position, but then, when they turn it to the “Free” position, it stays locked. This is caused by an improper assembly of the Clutch, Spring, and Follower Pawl.
It’s an easy fix, but it’s not intuitive. You don’t have to remove the hub body, just the dial cover. All you’ll need is a ratchet, a 10mm socket, and a small screwdriver.
