During finishing stage in orthodontics, adding anterior labial crown torque to archwire may cause some deformation for the archwire such as curvature in anterior area. This simple technique may solve this issue by adding V-bend to flatten the archwire.
Bending sequence
1. Twist archwire by using two pliers
between1 and 2 teeth, 2 and 3 teeth ,both
side(total 4 times )
2. Add V-bends between 1 and 1 teeth,
1 and 2 teeth, 2 and 3 teeth, both side
(total 5 times)
For lingual crown torque, insert same wire upside down direction, or bends opposite direction.
