Hi there, I was doing a break job on a 2006 Nissan Maxima 3.5L and the top calliper bolt was seized and rusted and even stripped as well. In this video I demonstrated how using heat can free rusted bolts. Anyone performing this job should have safety as the #1 priority. I followed along the steps from another YouTube video. I used a miniature butane blow torch it cost me 7$ on sale at a local auto parts store. I know that using this method can be dangerous and I don’t suggest anyone to try it themselves, I made this video only to show others how I was able to free the bolt. I placed my torch on a medium setting and placed the flame onto the head of the bolt until it turned red then because it was rounded and stripped I used vice grips to turn it and free it.
