I shot this tutorial video while diagnosing an issue of my left turn signal not canceling. This was the first time I have ever pulled a steering wheel, it was fairly simple. The problem was a broken and missing return spring. The Dorman replacement I bought has 2 in the package, part #49312. Guys suggested it could possibly be this spring, the entire switch, a broken wire, or maybe even some excess dirt or dust. Tools needed are a 13/16″, 5/8″, and 1/2″ socket. You’ll need a t20 torx and a steering wheel pulling tool as well. A compression tool is advised although I used my hand and a heavy duty dental pick to remove the ring clip. I also used a small flathead and needle nose pliers. Good luck!
