When you buy a tote, make sure you get one with a sturdy handle on it.
When you’re buying a hammer, get one with a curved claw on the back, and this will help you pull any nails out and reduce the stress on your elbow. Also, make sure you have a smooth face on there, so when you’re hammering nails in, you don’t mar the finish on your surface.
Needle-nose pliers are great for getting in little small areas and they have a wire cutter on the base of them.
These adjustable pliers have two different sizes on it, and they have fine teeth on the front and coarse teeth on the back for gripping fasteners and giving you extra leverage.
This utility blade is my favorite because you can break off the blades if one gets dull. And then you have a fresh new blade.
This is an adjustable crescent wrench. It’s great for plumbing applications and tightening hex-nut fasteners.
This is a screwdriver. The best part about this one is that you can change out the heads on it from a flat head to a Phillips head, and they are all stored in the back.
The tape measure is very essential for any projects. Make sure you buy one that’s about twenty-five foot long and it’ll cover any project that you encounter.
Make sure you have a good handsaw in your toolkit. When you store it, make sure the blade is down so you don’t cut yourself when you’re reaching in there to grab it.
This tool is my favorite. It’s a multi-tool — kind of five-in-one. It’s got a scraping edge on the front, it’s got a half-moon shape on the sides, it’s got a bunch of different size hex-nuts on there too. It’s a great tool.
