  • Kevin is putting the finishing touches on the Camaro in Episode 17 of Hands-On Cars. The Zed Sled gets LED Halot Headlights and Taillights, new decals, new interior and he starts the engine for the first time!

    Visit Eastwood – https://www.eastwood.com

KT ditches the old sealed beam headlights for some Redline LumTronix Multi-Colored LED Halot Headlights. Then the taillights are replaced with a cool set of sequential LED lights from Digi-Tails.

The hybrid Denny’s Driveshaft is mated to the newly installed Chevy LS Engine and 4L80 Transmission. Then Dante dropped by the garage to install the new windshield glass. The exhaust is installed and the mufflers are covered in a heat shield to keep the interior cool.

The TMI interior, which was installed by 360 Custom Upholstery, looks great in the Z. The engine is going to run cooler than ever with the performance Maxx Power Tri-Flow Radiator from Eastwood. It has 2X the cooling ability than a typical performance aluminum radiator.

Steve Longacre designed the custom Zed Sled decals which were installed onto the side of the camaro.

TC Penick and the guys from Bay One Customs – along with engine builder John Bouchard – stop by the shop to start the LS engine for the first time!

In this video, I show you how to strip wires without using wire strippers. The process that I use involves pliers. You use the inside blade of the pliers to pierce through the sheathing around the wires, and then use the pliers to pull the sheathing off. Stripping wires without wire strippers is really easy, just follow the steps in this video and you’ll be able to do it!
