  • I didn’t talk during the video so I could concentrate on cutting. I did the 1st cut with a 48″ CRL Production Speed Cutter. I made the other cuts with a hand held oil filled cutter to show it is still easy with a hand held. Also in case you can’t afford a high end cutter like the Production cutter. If you are going to cut a lot of glass it is well worth the money.

As you can see in the video I used a pair of CRL Running Pliers. They are a must have as you can see in the video. They make cutting glass a piece of cake.

I did play around a little bit in the video by cutting a round edge. You would finish it with a disc sander to make it nice and round.

All the glass in the video is 1/4″. I cut 3/8″ plate glass the same way, except I use a different degree cutter. I use a 154 degree cutter for 3/8″.

I hope this video helps you with your glass cutting.

READ DESCRIPTION/COMMENTS BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS. Many of your questions have already been answered numerous times. This video is to show how to remove the stock orange flash hider for the implementation of a barrel accessory such as a mock suppressor or alternative flash hider.

This is just a simple video of how to remove a glued on orange tip from an airsoft gun.

In the video I’m using an Echo 1 G36C, but this method will work with most any airsoft gun without scratching, breaking, and doing any damage to the flash hider or threaded barrel.

The gun itself had the flash hider (orange tip) glued on for the actual video, so no camera tricks here.

You’ll need a pot of hot water. You don’t have to boil the water, just get it hot.
And if you need them pliers, a towel or cloth, and some tape. The video shows the basic process which may vary slightly from gun to gun.

ALTERNATIVE: If you have a blow dryer, I know most guys don’t have them hence the “If”; you can heat the tip with that. and screw it off. I just made a video with the hot water method because I don’t know any guys who have a blow dryer, unless they’re still living at home w/ the parents (or sister). I live with 3 male room mates so none of us have blow dryers, and I don’t like my fat crazy psychotic chick neighbors so I went with this method.

    Hope this video helped.

I’m not a big fan of talking in videos so yeah… Practice on those reading skills

I’m tired of the same 2 questions being asked, so here are the answers to a questions you MAY BE about to ask:
    - Is it illegal to have an airsoft weapon without an orange tip?
Yes and No, it depends on state. Most states allow you to remove the orange tip and replace it with anything your heart desires. Other states simply say no, the orange tip MUST be there. Regardless check with your state laws before doing it if you’re afraid of the outcome. Also know your field, ensure that it’s a sanctioned field and not a random field dubbed an airsoft field. To find state airsoft laws simply Google search “[STATE] Airsoft Orange tip laws”"

    - Why do airsoft weapons have orange tips?
Most airsoft items come from Asian countries. In order to get here they must (or at least should) travel through customs. Having the orange tip on the gun allows for the gun to be transported much easier with fewer problems. In addition to that according to National laws (not state laws) all airsoft rifles, shotguns, AND pistols must be sold with orange tip regardless of whether it will be shipped or physically handed to a buyer.

In addition by removing the orange tip you are doing so on your own free will, and you agree that you are aware of the potential consequences and yadda yadda. In short DON’T BE STUPID!

ADDITION: Since people wanna complain about it being illegal I’ll set the record straight. It’s illegal to sell an airsoft weapon without an orange tip, BUT is 100% LEGAL to possess one without an orange tip. With that said if you’re afraid to do it don’t comment, don’t reply, don’t watch the video. If you do comment I will simply remove it, so don’t waste your time. Please note that I’m stating the legalities for the US, I cannot speak for other countries. For the rest of you who have question please read through the comments first, the majority of the questions have been asked, if you’re lazy well you’re probably not gonna read this anyway so feel free to comment/ask.

Flagging the vid: Apparently this video has been flagged AT LEAST 58 times (that I know of at least) and the original (this vid) is still here… I’m not going to say anything else about the useless flagging.
